Bunzl Sustainability Ambassadors Q&A: Taylah Frew

501

Bunzl is dedicated to creating a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. The Sustainability Ambassador Program works with industry leaders to find sustainable solutions and prioritise sustainability goals at all our branches.

Today we spoke to Taylah Frew, an Account Manager from our Melbourne branch to discuss the sustainability initiatives that are important to her and her customers and why she decided to become a Sustainability Ambassador.

Why did you volunteer to become a Sustainability Ambassador?

I volunteered to be a Sustainability ambassador as a lot of my customers were looking for new and different sustainable solutions for their sites and asking for help and support from Bunzl. I thought the best way to help would be for me to better understand legislation, what actions are required and which alternatives make the most difference so I could support my customers the best I can.

Do you have any personal goals when it comes to sustainability in your industry?

A personal goal of mine is to help my Hospitality customers understand what being sustainable means and the different options Bunzl can offer to support them in this initiative. It can have a slightly different meaning, depending on what industry or area is being focused on – so being able to effectively communicate with my customers has been essential.

What are you most excited to work with your customers about in the sustainability space?

I’m most excited to continue supporting my customers by reducing single-use plastics in hotel rooms and providing a better and more sustainable experience for the end customer.

Is there anything that you’d like to see more of when it comes to sustainability in your industry?

I would love to see more compostable products in the Hospitality sector as many of my customers are asking to see options ranging from things like gloves and bin liners. I know there’s work being done in this space so I’m excited to see what comes of it.

What changes do you find most exciting surrounding sustainability in your space?

A change I’m most looking forward to in my area is having hotels room with zero single-use plastics in their rooms.
